WHO I AM
A creative storyteller specializing in crafting memorable songs, persuasive proposals, and making a lasting digital impact.
Why the username @travelingtravelor?
My mom once called me the “Traveling Traveler,” and for whatever reason, everyone else started adding an “o” at the end. So I ended up as the “Traveling Travelor,” and the name just stuck.
Background
Folk-pop and roots songwriter Darian, who wrote most of her songs in Wilmington, North Carolina, considers multiple states “home” rather than the small town where she grew up. She began working as soon as she could and, by the age of 18, was already organizing a TED talk. Committed to bringing people together through music, she released an EP produced by Kimberly Katiti, followed by an album produced by Rocky Hirajeta—both of whom mentored her in the music-making process. Darian is dedicated to singing truthfully about the human experience. From Parris Island, North Carolina, to Paris, France, she has performed in cities around the world. Her songs have been featured nationally on PBS/WMHT and have aired on statewide radio stations across the U.S.
